Our top sailing team comprising, Stephanie Kirkman (captain), George Kirkman, Thomas Morton and James Delegat were out on the water at the end of the last week, representing Saint Kentigern at the Harken Schools Regatta being hosted by the Royal NZ Yacht Squadron.  Sailing on Friday saw the best secondary schools from Auckland and as far south as Nelson and north to Kerikeri competing for a place in the Gold Fleet racing on the Sunday. The team were pleased to finish the first day 3^rd overall qualifying for Sunday’s tough competition.

With the ten top teams from round the country in the Gold Fleet, the College crew sailed extremely well and ended the day 3^rd overall with only one point separating the teams in 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd positions. Auckland Grammar was in 1^st place on 16 points, followed by Hutt International Boys on 17 points in second place with the Saint Kentigern team in 3^rd with 18 points.
