Fast Racing and House Spirit on Display at Saint Kentigern Girls' School Swimming Sports

Saint Kentigern Girls' School recently held an exhilarating Swimming Sports event for Years 4-8 students, where the girls came together to showcase their swimming skills and house spirit. The morning was filled with fast-paced races and enthusiastic cheering from student, parent and staff supports, creating a thrilling and competitive atmosphere for everyone who swam.

After an action-packed morning, the overall winners were announced. The individual winners for each year level were as follows:

Year 4

1st        Katherine Kong (WI)
2nd       Evie Reynolds (CH)
3rd        Zoe Han (HA)

 

Year 5

1st        Charlotte McGuinness (CA)
2nd       Christine Cooney (WI)
3rd=      Lara France (HA) & Lena Sun (CH)

 

Year 6

1st        Olivia Xu (CA)
2nd       Lulu Lang (CA)
3rd        Chloe King (CA)

 

Year 7

1st        Zara Hong (CH)
2nd       Emily Miles (CH)
3rd        Ely Lenton (HA)

 

Year 8

1st        Olivia Duff (CH)
2nd       Ellie Duff (CH)
3rd        Jessie Zhang (CA)

 

In addition to the individual winners, the house results were also announced, with Cargill taking out first place with 452 points, followed by Chalmers with 345 points, Wishart with 289 points and Hamilton with 210 points.

As the event came to a close, a special mention was made to Miss Kristie Richards for her service to the girls' sports over the years. This was her last swimming sports, and the school community thanked her for her dedication and hard work in helping to shape the students into confident, resilient and determined young women.

Overall, Swimming Sports was a great success, with the girls demonstrating not only their swimming abilities, but also their sportsmanship and team spirit. The event was a testament to the strength of the school community and the commitment to providing students with a well-rounded education that includes physical activity, teamwork and fun.
