It was another great week for all our Saint Kentigern College Premier Sports Teams with some great wins setting them up for semi-final or final games this week. Some codes are still in pool play but their results are looking promising!
Played out on home ground, the College 1st XV rugby team won a hard fought battle against Sacred Heart College to win 24-14 in the Auckland 1A semi-final on the weekend. Saturday’s win will now see our premier rugby team play off against Auckland Grammar School in the final next Saturday, 23 August.
It is the fourth consecutive year the College team has topped the standings in the Auckland competition. Next weekend’s concluding final will see a third repeat play off between Grammar and our boys.
Last year’s game went down in history with a win to our 1st XV in the 70th minute to qualify for a third straight 1A title.
Watch this space, venue, time and travel to the game details for the final game to follow on Facebook. It is most likely that buses will be organised from the College to transport Saint Kentigern families to the game.
Get your blue and white gear ready!
