College Debater Selected for New Zealand Team!

We are delighted to learn that Year 13 College student, Arun Prakash, has been selected for the New Zealand National Debating Team. Arun will travel to Thailand in August representing New Zealand at the World Schools Debating Championships. This is a fantastic achievement Arun! The last time we had a speaker of this calibre was Paul Paterson back in 2000.

We had two speakers competing at national level over last weekend with Year 12 student, Rachel Worthington joining Arun to represent Auckland at the National Secondary Schools Debating Tournament in Wellington. Both of them acquitted themselves remarkably proving that they are not only good public speakers but also bring an insightful intelligence to their arguments.  

This is a great accomplishment for two of our finest Premier debaters and an incredible opportunity for Arun. Well done!
