USA Universities Visit College
September 25, 2013 at 8:47 AM
The College was most fortunate to secure a visit from the Admissions Officers from 17 of the top American universities who were in Auckland to provide information for talented New Zealand students about how best to apply for a place at an American University. They were able to speak to interested students on topics such as securing athletic or academic scholarships, admission requirements and whether a student is right for an American university.
A large number of our senior students took the time to visit the Learning Commons to ask questions from our American guests and to learn more about the possibilities and opportunities available to study overseas.
Each year, a growing number of our graduates go on to pursue places at universities overseas to undertake their tertiary studies. Those applying to the United States, especially those with a sporting component, often attract notable scholarships to assist with their travel, studies and accommodation. Follow the links below to read about the journey of two of last year’s graduates to secure a place at an American university. Both are loving being a student abroad.
