Boys Successful at Inter-Zone Cross Country

Both the Year 7 and 8 Boys’ teams who won the Eastern Zone Cross Country went forward to the Auckland Champion of Champions that were held at Muriwai Beach this week.
The day was cold and windy but the showers held off. The course proved to be a challenge for all as it was a mixture of grass, gravel and sand as part of the course ran along the beach.
ll the best runners from all Auckland zones were there with two things on their mind: firstly to do the best that they could individually, and secondly to support all their team to win the overall champion in the teams section.
The boys once again produced a fantastic result with the Year 7 team coming 2nd overall and the Year 8 team taking 1st place in the team section. Brodey Warren ran an excellent individual race coming 2nd in the Year 8 category. A fantastic result for the Boys School.
