Junior Boys Swimming Sports

Some are brave and ready, some show a little trepidation when they step up to the starting blocks ready for their first taste of competition, but for all our young swimmers at yesterday’s Junior Swimming Sports, help was on hand, should they need it, from their Year 8 buddies who gave them the confidence to complete their races.

Our youngest swimmers have developed water competency over the course of the term; swimming lessons and water safety are a regular feature of their weekly timetable. By the time Swimming Sports comes around, most are able to complete a full length of the pool, either under their own steam or with the help of a flotation device such as a flutter board or noodle. The little swimmers gave it everything they had and produced some fantastic results. There were some very proud young boys on the podium!

Well done to all the swimmers, supporters and Cargill - the Junior House Champion.

Now with the completion of the Juniors Swimming Sports, the overall House champion can be announced.  Well done to Wishart who have taken out the Swimming Sports title!!
