The sun shone brightly for yesterday’s Boys’ School visitors from The Southport School on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. Whilst the sun may have been bright, the temperature was definitely not one our Australian visitors are used to, hovering around a chilly 10C!
The Southport boys are on a sports exchange to New Zealand and have often hosted our teams when we have travelled to Australia. Unfortunately, after a very early start, their plane had been delayed so it was straight off the plane and straight into their first sports encounter against Saint Kentigern.
It was a successful afternoon of sport for our Year 7 teams who stepped up to play, winning the rugby by 59-10 and also the football 2-1. Well done boys!
