Giving back to the Community - Ruapotaka Primary

As part of a Creativity, Action and Service Programme at Saint Kentigern College, 40 of our Year 12 IB Students spent a day at Ruapotaka Primary in Panmure at the end of November.

During the course of the day the Ruapotaka students enjoyed lots of different activities. These activities were all organised and run by our college students and included making colourful bookmarks, going on a scavenger hunt, decorating biscuits and playing lots of outdoor games. They also prepared a BBQ lunch which was thoroughly enjoyable.

It is now a proven factor that our students really enjoy the involvement and activities they share with Ruapotaka Primary and that these young primary students aspire to and gain so much from the involvement of our students.
