Boys’ School Year 7 & 8 Athletics

The sportsmanship shared between the students was plain to see at the Boys’ School Year 7 & 8 Athletics championships yesterday. When one of the high jumpers didn’t clear the bar, his fellow competitors were on hand to give him tips to improve in his next attempt. A discus finalist immediately declared his throw was a foul because he had overstepped the line, despite the adjudicators not seeing it. During the running races, every boy was cheered with the same gusto, no matter what place they finished. The positive spirit on display made for an enjoyable and memorable day for everyone who took part, and led to some personal best performances and closely-fought contests!
