Chinese Language Exams at the Girls’ School

For the first time, The Girls’ School Year 8 students have had the opportunity to sit the Youth Chinese Test (YCT) which is an international standardised test of Chinese language proficiency and is administered by the Confucius Institute and the University of Auckland. It assesses young language students’ ability to use Chinese in their daily and academic lives. Listening and reading comprehension are tested in the hour-long exam. The Girls’ School students that took the test are as follow:

Gracie Curtis, Sacha Earnest, Libby Yee, Olivia Lin,Chelsea Wijntjes, Zara Nelson, Brooke Murdoch, Rosa Willis, Jaime Chandler, Megan Yeo, Victoria Tiong and Annabelle Mar have.

Results will be known in two to three weeks, we wish them every success.
