College Rowers Selected for Auckland Development Squad

Congratulations to three students from the College Rowing Club who have been selected to train with the Auckland Rowing Association Light Blues Squad.
Ayden Lamont, Rebecca Roberts and Ollie Rhodes were all successful in being chosen to join the squad, a winter development programme which is run through the Auckland Rowing Association.
The Light Blues programme is designed to develop the skills of high performance rowers who are, as well as bringing together rowers and coxswains from around Auckland to make new friends, learn new skills, and gain exposure to different training and development methods.
Light Blues rowers receive coaching from some of the top coaches in the region, and then go on to trial for selection into respective representative Eights which travel to Australia to compete in the Queensland State Schools Championships in September 2014.We wish these three sports people all the very best with their development programme and the representative selection process.
