Wishart Wins College Cross Country - 2020

It was a tight competition at this year’s Cross Country, with only one point determining the winner! Collecting the most points for participation and the fastest times, Wishart House came out on top with a total of 353 points – a great turnaround from fourth place last year! Chalmers House (last year’s winners) followed just one point behind and gained a total of 353 points and Hamilton House placed third by reaching 311 points.

There was not a cloud in sight when it came to race day and our College and Year 7 and 8 Girls’ School students were eager to put their speed to the test. With heavy rain in the preceding days, the track proved challenging for some, resulting in a true Cross Country running experience - with plenty of muddy patches and uphill battles.

Our Year 7 and 8 students started the races for the day and made fast times - the Junior, Senior and Intermediate students followed. It was great to see their family and friends cheering from the side-lines as they crossed the finish line of the 3km course.

Well done to Wishart House for taking out this year’s event! We wish those going onto the zone competitions the best of luck.
