Rowing Season Off To A Good Start
October 28, 2014 at 2:53 PM
Despite the warmer weather only just starting to set in, the Rowing Club season is now well underway with the first regatta of the season, the Waitemata-Takapuna Regatta on Lake Pupuke, taking place over Labour Weekend.
The weather played its part in providing excellent conditions out on the water and the rowers can be proud of some good results, including 12 wins, six second and five third places with 3 Division 1 wins raced over the 1000m course.
It was great to see all of the members of the club back on the water and the early results bode well for a strong season ahead.
Congratulations to the following crews who placed 1st in Division 1.
