A Morning of Celebration at House Relays

Waves of colour filled the banks around Boys’ School pool last week, as students gathered to cheer on their House swimming representatives in the relay competition. This event was a great way to end the swimming sports calendar, with the Girls’ School and Boys’ Schools joining together to cheer on the swimmers and have some fun. The sun was shining as the races got underway with girls’ and boys’ teams of four taking it in turns to swim.

As the morning unfolded, House spirits rose and the competition in the pool became more intense! Students on the side lines chanted, sang and danced in support! As always, Rev Reuben Hardie was not shy about joining in, leading off the all-time favourite action song, YMCA, encouraging students, staff and parents to all join in!

It was a fantastic morning of competitive swimming and girls and boys alike waited in anticipation to see who would claim House honours – Chalmers for the Boys’ School and Hamilton for the girls. Well done to all the swimmers.
