College Hockey Success at National U18 Tournament

Three of our College students representing Auckland hockey have been named in the 2013/14 Tigerturf U18 Men’s National Hockey Squad.
Daniel Guthrie, Samuel Jimmieson and Richmond Lum have been selected following the National U18 Tournament in Hamilton at the Gallagher Hockey Centre in Hamilton over the weekend.
The boys will now attend the Junior Programmes Development Camp on 4-7 October, from where a team of 20 athletes will be selected to compete in their respective planned international competitions.
The Tiger Turf U18 Men and Women are part of the Sir Owen G. Glenn Future Black Sticks programme, designed to not only develop hockey skills and athletic ability but to provide athlete's with the opportunities to gain valuable international experience.
College students Lulu Tuilotolava and Jessica Speight were also members of the U18 Woman’s Auckland Team that secured a tight 2-1 win over Capital to win the New Zealand Championship at the Tournament in Hamilton.
