Saint Kentigern has a long and proud history of educating young people to achieve at the highest standard.
Saint Kentigern Preschool opened in Remuera Road at the beginning of 2011 as a natural extension to the Saint Kentigern family, completing an educational pathway that begins with preschool.
The Right Honourable Sir John Key, the 38th Prime Minister of New Zealand, officially opened our Preschool on Remuera Road in March 2012.
March 2023, Saint Kentigern celebrated the official opening of its brand-new Preschool on the Saint Kentigern Shore Road campus, in the Preschool’s 12th year of operation. The school was officially opened by Her Excellency The Rt Hon Dame Cindy Kiro, the 22nd Governor-General of New Zealand in a ceremony attended by special guests which included the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand, the Right Rev Hamish Galloway, past and present Saint Kentigern Trust Board members, senior leaders, and Preschool staff and children.
While the children moved into their new building at the start of the year, 30 March was marked for the Official Opening and the Preschool’s Foundation Day, to be celebrated annually.
Megan Storey joined Saint Kentigern Preschool as Principal in 2023. With a Bachelor of Teaching in Early Childhood Education from the University of Auckland, Megan is a seasoned leader in early childhood education. Initially a teacher, Megan transitioned into leadership positions to deliver exceptional educational outcomes for young children.
