Year 6 Girls Tackle New Challenges at a Familiar Camp
Following in the footsteps of their younger peers, fifty Year 6 students returned to Shakespear Regional Park for an extended camp experience. Having already spent two days at the camp the previous year, the girls were eager to revisit the familiar activities, with anticipation for new adventures awaiting them.
With an extra night away than the previous year, the girls engaged with more activities: raft-building, coasteering, rock climbing, and air-rifle shooting packed their schedules. These were littered with team challenges, given to test their problem-solving and leadership skills.
Evenings at camp were filled with fun, from bonus water slide sessions and a playdough challenge to the much-loved Lip Sync Battle. Laughter echoed through the lodge as the girls celebrated their final night together, channelling their inner pop-star and providing parents, staff, and students alike with some high-quality entertainment.
As the bus rolled home, the quiet murmurs of reflection spoke volumes – memories made, confidence built, and a stronger bond among the cohort.
