Senior Accounts Payable Administrator

Saint Kentigern Trust Board is looking for an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Administrator to join our Finance team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to apply your skills in managing the day-to-day accounts payable function while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Position Summary:
As the Senior Accounts Payable Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of creditor transactions and payments. You will manage supplier reconciliations, maintain the supplier database, and champion the use of the Electronic Purchasing Order system (EPO). Additionally, you will be mentoring and training the Accounts Payable team, ensuring they have the support they need to excel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process supplier invoices, ensuring all supporting documentation is accurate, coded correctly, and authorised in a timely manner.
- Maintain and reconcile the creditors ledger and major supplier accounts.
- Manage the EPO system to ensure appropriate use and compliance across the organisation.
- Process staff reimbursements and ensure they meet documentation and approval standards.
- Assist with General Ledger processing, ensuring all Accounts Payable transactions align with the approved annual budgets.
- Oversee and reconcile petty cash for the Trust.
- Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely responses to queries and issues.
- Manage the workload of the Accounts Payable team, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Promote and adhere to health and safety protocols in the workplace.
- Qualifications:
- Business-oriented training (Tertiary study preferred).
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in accounts payable, including statement reconciliations.
- Proficient in ERP systems and electronic purchasing.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office programs.
- Familiarity with electronic banking payments and processes.
- Approachable and personable, with a strong focus on team collaboration.
- Accurate with excellent attention to detail.
- Patient, calm under pressure, and deadline-aware.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Able to make and explain decisions confidently.
- Adaptable and self-confident with a focus on continuous improvement.
