No matter where you live in Auckland, we make it easy for your children to get to school each day Both Saint Kentigern campuses are serviced by a large fleet of dedicated buses, operated on our behalf by Howick and Eastern Bus Company.
Every day, over 1500 of our students make use of an extensive Saint Kentigern bus network that covers a wide area of Auckland, from Britomart in the city, to as far south as Pukekohe, out west to Mt Albert and many, many routes in between. All the routes are well detailed, and students can be picked up from any public bus stop along each route. Subsidised fees are only charged per zone.
This greatly reduces the need for parents to travel through rush hour traffic to collect their children at this busy time of day.
No matter where you live, we make it easy to get to school!

Bus Information for 82 Shore Road
Registering and Charging
- NEW STUDENTS who wish to catch the bus to or from school MUST complete the 2025 Bus Form, detailing which bus they would like to catch in the morning and afternoon, and which suburb they live in. Please note some bus routes have different numbers in the afternoon compared to the morning.
- RETURNING STUDENTS do not need to complete the 2025 Bus Form. Details from 2024 will be rolled over – please let accounts@saintkentigern.com know if you no longer wish to catch the bus.
- Suburbs are divided up into zones, with each zone having a different charge, depending on distance from the College.
- Bus trips are either one way (1-5 trips per week) or return (6-10 trips per week).
- There are a number of middle school and senior school buses that run in the afternoon, so please ensure you register on the correct bus according to your student’s year group.
- Bus charges are added to your debtor account in March and June each year.
- Students may only ride the bus that they are registered on. For health and safety reasons, we need to be aware who is riding each bus should we need to contact parents/caregivers (in the event of a break down for example).
- Regular checks are performed throughout the year to ensure that all students are registered for the bus they are riding.
- If there is a change of circumstance during the year (student moves house for example), please contact accounts@saintkentigern.com to amend the students bus registration details.
- For any other queries regarding bus charges, please contact accounts@saintkentigern.com.
Catching the Bus
- We have partnered with RollCall to track our buses using a tap on/tap off system. There is a RollCall app available to all parents of registered bus users.
- Students use their Student ID cards to tag on and off their bus. Student ID cards will be issued part way through Term 1. Prior to this, students board the bus they are registered on without tapping on and off with their Student ID card.
- You can access the RollCall parent app when your child has received their Student ID card – this will allow you to track your child’s bus. You will also be able to amend your child’s bus booking for one off situations (i.e a doctors appointment). Further information regarding the RollCall Parent app will be sent out at the beginning of Term 1.
- If your child forgets their card on a particular day, they will still be able to board the bus they are registered on – they will need to tell the driver to manually tap them onto the bus by giving the bus driver their name.
- If your child misplaces their Student ID card, they will need to order a new one from Student Reception. Their old card will be null and void.
- Buses stop at all public bus stops along each bus route. For health and safety reasons, students CANNOT be picked up or dropped off anywhere else along the route.
- For morning routes, please ensure your student hails the bus as it approaches the bus stop. Please do not keep your student waiting in the car, as the bus driver may miss the stop. Although we do have regular bus drivers, there may be times that a driver is absent due to illness and so a replacement driver will be used.
