Our Parents and Friends Associations are very active at the College, Boys' School and Girls' School, working to support friendship amongst current parents and past parents, and to support the welfare and activities of each of the schools. The friendly atmosphere amongst our families is encouraged by events during the course of the year that bring our parents together in social settings.

Membership

All parents and past parents of Saint Kentigern are members of the P&F Association after paying a 'once only' subscription that is part of the enrolment fee.

The Committee comprises a number of enthusiastic volunteers at each school. Each year a number of these people step down as their children graduate and move on, leaving vacancies. Parents interested in joining are always welcome.

The AGM is held in March for formal acceptance on the committee. Other parents who would like to be involved, if only to offer help occasionally, are encouraged to make contact.

What we do

The three Committees meet at their respective campus approximately 8 times each year when their current and future activities are planned and discussed.

Generally a senior staff member or another representative, along with a representative from the Trust Board, bring a report to each meeting.

This is an important opportunity for information sharing and for parents to ask questions about specific issues at their school.

The P&F Associations actively raise funds through such things as the operation of the Lunch Bar for Middle School students and the Cafe for Senior School students at the College, as well as special fundraising events on all campuses.

The College Parents and Friends host the College Graduation Dinner each year.

Each of the Associations provide catering support for many functions throughout the year. Invariably these occasions are fun and rewarding for all who join in.

The funds that are raised by the Parents and Friends are used at the discretion of their committees to provide additional equipment or facilities to benefit the students.
