The Girls’ Cricket 1^st XI took the Auckland Championships yesterday beating Diocesan in the final. The competition has been in play during Term 1. Our girls only lost one game in pool play, beat Baradene in the semi-final and then ultimately overcame Diocesan in the final. 

It was a tense match yesterday with Diocesan batting first and scoring 79-6. There were some outstanding performances from our bowlers with Rae Allright getting 2 wickets for 6 runs and Christina Oscar getting 1 for 11. 

The Saint Kentigern girls started a little slowly but Christina Oscar and Ella Mayhew settled the innings with Ella top scoring and batting for most of the innings to help her side to the magnificent win.
